I predict this goes Viral!
Saw this go up on Republic of Telly last night. When I checked it our on YouTube it had 316 views... It has about 16,000 now.
Lyrics are very clever, and has to be said - It has a good little beat to it.
Up, up and away?
Wrote this on April 22 2011, between the hours of 2.30 and 3.50pm, on a plane from London Gatwick to Dublin.
Airports – Aren’t they just the most happening spots in the entire world? I mean, think about it… When someone makes a significant trip in his or her life, it usually involves an airport. Dramatic decisions – often made in an airport. Big soppy reunions – Airport, baby! Don't even get me started on thoose life-altering cavity searches... That said I’m not saying that every single Tom, Dick and Harriet that goes to the airport is about to embark an adventure that would put Indiana himself to shame. After all, I am the perfect example of that. Today, I am heading home to Dublin for the Easter break and I have nothing overly exciting lined up at all, at all – That said I think the airport is an uber interesting and thought provoking spot, particularly if like me, you are an avid people-watcher.
Who is he? Why does she look sad? What in God’s name is that person’s story???? I need to know!
A rude air hostess has told me (not asked) to close my laptop as we are about to land.
I'd best do what she demands.
Don't you just HATE rudies?
TO DO list!

My Favourite Poem
I do however, love to be inspired by the written word. I like to be inspired by just about anything mind you.
There is a poem I know. I know it very well. For whatever reason, this poem and I got along very well back in the day. I was reminded of it recently when having a random conversation (one of many) with a special Chum of mine.
It's By Robert Frost, and it's called Birches
This is my favourite excerpt from the poem -
I'd like to get away from earth awhile
And then come back to it and begin over.
May no fate willfully misunderstand me
And half grant what I wish and snatch me away
Not to return. Earth's the right place for love:
I don't know where it's likely to go better.
I'd like to go by climbing a birch tree,
And climb black branches up a snow-white trunk
Toward heaven, till the tree could bear no more,
But dipped its top and set me down again.
That would be good both going and coming back.
One could do worse than be a swinger of birches.

Procrastination a go go
--
Some things I have procrastinated with -
Sorting out car tax/insurance
Booking dentist appointments
Visiting my godson
Fixing the shelf in my wardrobe
Making many a phone call/sending many a text to change plans...always left till last minute...very ignorant of me.
Run a "pain in the face" errand
Sorting out my old CD collection
Making a photo album (and ACTUAL photo album...one I can hold...turn pages... hand write notes beside each picture)
Buying new running shoes
Buying a new holder for my iPod when I run (lost old one)
Getting my hair cut (properly)
Putting up posts on this blog
Bringing my folks out for dinner
Paying my phone bill (every single month without fail for 4 years)
Starting to save
Taking up new hobbies - Piano, Guitar, Hot Yoga, Kickboxing, Horse-riding, Dancing, Photography, Learning Spanish... I don't see why I can;t do all of these things.
Contacting a friend I haven't spoken to in some time

No more.

Man's Best Friend
So, this is my first ever blog post...on my first ever blog....Think i'll start off nice & easy....
It's true what they say about Man's bestest pal...Dog, dog and more dog.
This is a picture of Gary (man) and Reggie (dog). Reggie belongs to my friend Kate. We like to rob him from time to time and go playing.
You can literally smell the bonding as it's occuring. Love it...
It is totally beyond me, how anyone with a sane mind could ever harm or neglect one of these filly folly fun-loving creatures. All the want to do is love and they ask for nothing but the odd cuddle in return.
Think i'll run the Marathon for the RSPCA this year or next.
