My Christmas List... The musical one

You know that token question you get asked at a family dinner, or a job interview, or a rubbish first date..?

"If you were stranded on a desert Island, and you could only have three things in your posession, what three things would they be?" I've always, always struggled to pick the full three, but have never failed to get the same ONE item on the list, every time.

Music. I would bring music. When this question comes up, people tend to get into the nitty-gritty, saying things like, *cue exaggerated annoying whiney voice* "but you can't just say 'music'...  and you have to include earphones, and that would then be two things. And then what about battery power? And what if the sand broke your iPod? Or it over-heated in the sun?

To those people, I say, get the f*ck off my island.

So, without further adieu, here it is... Round two of some of my favourite covers. A lovely little playlist, which, given the time of year is a bit more... specific.

Fairytale of New York - Matthew and the Atlas
Jingle Bell Rock - Arcade Fire
Blue Christmas - Bright Eyes
Father Christmas - The Kinks
Silent Night - Alexi Murdoch
Baby it's Cold Outside - Tom Jones and Carys Matthews
O Little Town of Bethlehem - Sarah McLachlan
Santa Claus is Coming to Town - Bruce Springsteen
Little Drummer Boy - Jimi Hendrix

Have a Yule-iscious one x
